Bewley's Tea
In 1835, Charles Bewley sailed into Dublin with 2000 chests of tea, breaking the monopoly held by the East India trading company. This was the first time tea had been shipped directly to Ireland since the Boston Tea Party.
This adventure led to the foundation of one of Ireland's most respected and popular brands, and today, as part of the Campbell Bewley Group, Bewley's is expanding their mark across Europe and into new markets around the world.
